Habib Usman bin Yahya explains about the special bath on Fridays. Ponorogo - Friday is also known as a blessed day for Muslims. On Fridays, there are actually two special baths that bring rewards. According to Ustaz quoting Habib Usman bin Yahya in Islam Itu Indah, one of the special baths on Fridays that brings rewards is the Junub bath. In addition, for men, it is recommended to take a Friday bath before performing the Friday prayer. By mentioning the name of Allah SWT, The Most Merciful, it is understood that there are baths to cleanse the body, and there are also baths that bring rewards, such as the Junub bath. There are also rewards for those who believe and fear Allah SWT every week as recommended by Prophet Muhammad SAW. In the book Lu'lu Wal Marjan, it is mandatory to take a Friday bath when preparing for the Friday prayer. When asked, one of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad SAW asked, "O Messenger of Allah, I have traveled from a far distance, my body is covered in sand, and I am sweating when I arrive at the mosque. What should I do, O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet replied, "Take another bath", and he was told to clean himself. The companion said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am in a hurry coming from the market." The Prophet said, "Take a bath." It turns out that bathing is mandatory every Friday if one wants to perform the Friday prayer. It is even explained in the book Lu'lu Wal Marjan, that every person who bathes in the morning on Fridays and encourages their spouse to do the same will receive rewards from Allah SWT. Masyaallah, a great reward from Allah SWT. It is also explained that every person who bathes on Fridays and goes for the Friday prayer will receive rewards: - If they arrive at around 11 a.m., they will receive a reward equivalent to donating a camel. - If they arrive slightly after 11 a.m., they will receive a reward equivalent to donating a cow, with a beautiful pair of horns. - If they arrive at around 11:30 a.m., they will receive a reward equivalent to donating a goat, and the goat will already have good horns. - If they arrive at around 11:30 a.m. and the prayer is about to begin, they will receive a reward equivalent to donating a chicken. - If they arrive after the call to prayer, they will receive a reward equivalent to donating eggs. - If they arrive during the sermon, they will miss part of the sermon, as the sermon is part of the two units of the Dhuhr prayer. If the Dhuhr prayer is four units, two of them are included in the sermon and two are separate. Taking a bath is mandated by Prophet Muhammad SAW, so if you have a spouse or a family, remind them to take a Friday bath. The intention for the bath, if one has major impurity, is "Nawaitu ghusla liraf'il hadatsil akbar minal haidil fardlon lillahi ta'ala" or "Nawaitu ghusla liraf'il hadatsil akbar yaumal jumah minal haidil fardlon lillahi ta'ala." Or in Indonesian, "O Allah, I intend to take a bath today, to bathe for the recommended Friday, to please Allah SWT, or to prepare for the Friday prayer to please Allah SWT." (min) |
